where is everyone
Posted by Tess on October 14, 1997 at 09:22:51:no messages have been posted in a while... just wondering
what everyone is up to...I've been so busy at work I haven't had
much time, so I don't have half the things done to my page,
that I would like... but I'm making progress. Anyone who
thinks they'll be coming to the 98 reunion, please let me know. The
more names on my list, the more likely I am to get others
to come... you may be the one person they really want to see.Associated Press Release - October 18 - Star Telegram
Posted by Rick Cervantes on October 14, 1997 at 10:11:22:I read the following article in the Fort Worth newspaper.
ZARAGOZA, Spain - A man jumped into the bullring, and a bull charged. The man didn't lose his life, but he did lose his pants. The would-be matador was trapped under the bull for several moments before the animal wedged its padded horn under his pants and flipped him upside down. After being tossed in the air for several seconds, the man fell to the ground -sans pants. His pants and undershorts were on the bull's horn. As the crowd cheered, the man-clearly embarrassed but apparently not seriously injured-scampered away. He tried frantically to cover his genitals with his shirt. The bull, meanwhile, paraded about the bullring with its trophy, a pair of undershorts, on his horn. The incident came during the annual bullfighting festivals in Zaragoza, in northeast Spain.

Everytime I try to go to your page to get info, my computer locks up. I'm on Netscape - should I try Microsoft? LJRe: where is everyone

Well, maybe I need to get a version w/ no graphics for you and anyone else who may be having trouble. Ms Explorer probably won't help. You could try closing everything down on your computer except for Netscape, that may work. This reunion has been done in the past by Sylvia Carmona and Debbie Bryant and now I'm helping in any way I can, mostly with the webpage and by finding lost Zabbies. It has nothing to do with the Association. They had 2 reunions before we even knew about the Association. Everyone is welcome. When I went in '95 it was mostly people that were in Zaragoza between 75-80 or so.

I had other things going on that evening so I barely saw bits and pieces of it. I just hope that guy had on clean underwear. Being a mom my self, I remember what my mom used to tell me, be sure and wear clean underwear, you never know what can happen and who will see them!!!!
REUNION 98
Posted by Chi-chi Fernandez-Swanzy on October 15, 1997 at 23:37:56:Teresa's Webb page really doesn't say anything about the deposti that will be needed to attend the reunion. I've asked to receive new information about it, I know that eventually a deposit will be needed to confirm whether or not anyone will be attending. If anyone knows anything new regarding this please let me know. I've called Debbie Bryant-Bearden and have yet to receive the newsletter.

We just started searching all the ZHS alumni boards and decided to say hi to all our long lost, and not lost, friends. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers us. We are currently living in Vacaville, California, Married (to each other) and have 2 kids (4 yr old boy and 17 mo. old girl). We wish we would have known about the '97 reunion (thank you Tim Almond for not telling us!) we would have loved to have gone. Oh well, '98's around the corner. C&D

nancy clark '73Zebras? Toros?
Posted by Barb Robinson on October 20, 1997 at 20:11:58:Perri Campbell and I have just had a great visit with Stan Blum, who shed a little light on why the change was made from Zebras to Toros. We were known as the Zaragoza Zebras until the school was moved to Sevilla, where the Toros were born. Toros stuck when the school moved back to Zaragoza. Interesting, no? Ya'll keep in touch. I can hardly wait for my next visitor and the next big reunion!

Well, MR. Knight, it appears you got what you wanted, attention. I find it hard to believe that Torejon could have been better than Zaragoza... your football team maybe, your basketball team, maybe.. even Track maybe. Oh yeah, Torejon also had Bubble Yum and Doritos which we loaded up on spirit trips But ZAB is #1, always was, always will be too, RIGHT GUYS??

We Toros will never lose our fight and spirit!
Is it the hot Arizona sun affecting your thinking that caused you to come to our message board to challenge that?
Mr. Cliff Davis, our teacher and friend, who helped make ZHS such a great place to be, is (to our great sorrow) deceased. I imagine him expanding on something, somewhere. And we Toros who will undoubtedly meet up with him again, anticipate that moment.Re: Class of '79&'80
